Okay, well it’s not always fun and games; especially when
the number of visitors under the age of 13, far exceeds the number of adults.
As with any group of kids not only is the noise level increased, but the amount
of arguments and disagreements are increased as well. Dakota and Maddie visited
most of the day, and then went to Gay’s house to spend the night. Austin and
Cole visited as well, and Cole spent the night. Melissa was dropped off at the
house around 4:00 by Jeff who was on his way to work. Even though there were
only 5 visitors during this period; with two kids already in the house, this
brought the kid total to 6. I don’t know how families survive with more than 2
kids in their house. With a constant flow of traffic in and out of the house
for various reasons, the noise level is always moderately loud to loud.
Arnold arrived around 3:00 to tell David about a neighbors
air conditioner that wasn’t working. David was taking a nap, and Arnold said
that he would wake him up. David is a bear when disturbed while getting his
beauty rest. He woke up easily for Arnold and was soon out the door and off to
the house to make the needed repairs.
Hamburger helper, fresh corn, and sliced tomatoes for
dinner. Austin ate 3 pieces of corn for dinner. One more evening swim after
dinner, and then soon we were off to bed. Cole spent another night. He and I
slept in Grace’s bed. Isabell wanted to sleep with us too but soon after laying
down, she stated that her mother must be sad that she is not sleeping with her.
She left, giving us just enough room to get comfortable in a double bed, while Penny (our hamster) spent another night in the laundry room.
8 visitors today, 324 in all
