And so the day
ends with two visitors in the house. I don’t know if they will be spending the
night tonight or not, and with my bedroom door closed and the bubbles blowing
in the fish tank; I will find out in the morning if the visitors stayed through
the night.
Jo (Harlee’s Mom
and next door neighbor as well) came over around 11:00 last night after a trip
to Wal-Mart. Grace and Harlee had purchased a t-shirt and were going to paint
it for Drew (Harlee’s Dad) for his birthday. I told them we had grand-kids in
the bed, and they went to Harlee’s to paint a shirt. I will add her to the visitor count.
Today, Arnold
was the first visitor of the day, he stayed for a few minutes; David left with Grace
to visit Roy and Ann so I could finish this week’s homework assignment. When
they returned, Grace had a beautiful bouquet of flowers arranged in a small
glass vase. She talked about going for a walk, picking flowers with Ann, and
listening to stories. There’s something to be said about stories. We will
remember stories that have been told and shared for generations to come.
When Harlee came
over today and I mentioned my Blog, she said that I couldn’t count her because
she lived here too. Most the time she does, but for the purposes of the visitor
count; she does have a home next door.
Harlee returned
in the evening with Cheyenne and Jo. They visited for a while, talked about
their trip to Michigan, and about Harlee driving in a cemetery. Jo said, “well…
she wouldn’t kill anybody.”
Harlee and
Cheyenne plan to spend the night tonight. Oh yea…I forgot to mention that last
night when Jo, Harlee, and Grace went to Wal-Mart, they brought their dog Angus
over for a visit. They left him in the fence overnight and he spent the night
with Jenny and Lucy. Before long, I may need to keep track of the visitors that
come to see our dogs.
All in all, that’s
an additional 5 visitors today and another dog; making 87 visitors and 2 dogs.
