High temperature of the day, 106 degrees! A record high set
today in Chattanooga. I continue to fill
the pool with water on a daily basis as the water quickly evaporates each day.
I’ve checked it for leaks, but none are apparent. I just haven’t seen
temperatures this high before so I’ve decided that as quickly as I put water in
the pool, it is released into the dry atmosphere. Fireworks may be cancelled
this fourth of July as any little spark could set off a fire. I may stay in
today. It will be a good excuse to finish some homework.
Began the morning setting up for the swim team auction that
would take place tonight. Left around 1:00, got a Subway sandwich, and went
home to finish preparing for the night. Melissa, Austin, Cole, and Ben were the
only visitors today. However; I did leave off a visitor Thursday. Kristen,
Melissa’s friend, came over and swam for a while. She even posted some pictures
on Facebook, and I neglected to mention her in the blog.
Not too much to talk about. A great night at the auction raising
money for the swim team. David and I returned home around 10:00 with a small
pool table which converts into an air hockey table. It’s pretty neat and it
works. Isabell was the first one to try it out and spent most of her time
poking baby doll bottles into the pool pockets on the edge of the table. David
and I played a game of air hockey. We got several pucks in the slots, and then
gave control of the table back to Isabell. For 40 bucks, I hope it’s used more
than for the purposes of putting numerous items in various holes around the
table.
4 visitors today, 1 additional visitor Thursday, 306 in all
