The morning began with Madi and Cole being the first visitors of the day as they had spent the night. Melissa and Austin arrived around 10:00 and began the morning with coffee and cinnamon rolls. A quick trip to Wal-Mart to purchase several drinks for a party that would take place during the day. 2 boxes of drink pouches, a case of water, a box of 24 fudgesicles, a box of 24 flavored popsicles, and a 6 pack of beer. Just from the list of grocery store items, the kids attending the party will outnumber the adults.

Friends began arriving around noon. April and Bailey were the first to arrive and were very anxious about swimming in the pool. April talked about her limited amount of time being exposed to the sun this summer, so she and Bailey lathered up with plenty of sunscreen. They both left around 3:00, beginning to look a little pink.

Cindi, Ruth, David, and Blake arrived shortly afterwards bringing a 2 liter of orange Fanta. Who would have thought it would be such a hit. It was the beverage of choice for the kids.

Loren, Grant, and Turner were the next visitors to arrive. Turner carried drink pouches to the pool deck where the cooler full of drinks was already being used. It was a hot day, but a great day to spend time with friends.

Little David visited for a while then was taken to Merv’s by Mandy. She seems to spend a lot of time taking him from place to place.

Trish, Shelby, and Kaitlyn were the last visitors to arrive. Shelby had left her bathing suit here after her last visit and was anxious to put it on and get out to the pool. She stayed in the pool nearly the entire time.

4 Little Caesar’s Pizzas, Crazy Bread, and Italian Cheese Bread fed the hungry crew after a few hours of swimming. The last visitors left around 6:00 just before swim practice. Needless to say…all kids drinks were consumed and 3 beers remained in the cooler.
