Morning
came at 6:36 AM when the red digital lights shone brightly in my eyes in the dark room. I turned
and began tapping David on the back to wake him for work. He abruptly said, “What?”
I replied, “It’s 6:30.” He said, “It’s Sunday.” To which I replied, “Sorry, I
thought it was Monday.” By that time it was too late and David was up making
coffee to prepare for the day.
Maddie
spent another night and was up shortly after our first cup of coffee. Drove
down to retrieve a newspaper from the stand and discovered from the front page of the paper that it will continue
to rain through Wednesday. Arnold arrived just I got through the obituaries. He
sat on the back porch with David. I began to cook the Sunday morning breakfast
of bacon, biscuits, gravy, and eggs. Hope the heart holds out. Sure don’t want
to give up my gravy.
Grace
begins horse camp tomorrow and will have her team pictures made tomorrow night.
Might be a gloomy day… or a gloomy week. Harlee, Cheyenne, and Jo came over
this evening. I made a cake and most of it was consumed by the 8 individuals in
the house. It was a pretty quiet day. Two trips to Wal-Mart in my new car and
an hour nap this afternoon. Feeling great.
