In
addition to the human visitors that come to my house, we have an array of dogs
that visit as well. Steve and Wendy visited just before 6:00 PM. They were
picking up a sander for Chris, who is completing a project that will be carried
to Nashville this weekend and entered into a Science competition. I don’t know
all the details about that. Steve and Wendy had their two dogs with them:
Junebug and Cocoa. Junebug wandered around the yard for a while then returned
to the garage where we stood, while Cocoa remained close the entire time. Grace
let Lucy (our Daschound) out of the fence to visit.
Melissa
invited her friend, Ashley along with her 5 kids, over for a swim. They arrived
around noon and left at 2:30. Brandon, Cash, Caden, Olivia, and Slade seemed to
enjoy themselves. It was a hot day. It’s funny how kids don’t feel embarrassed about
asking others questions that we as adults may feel uncomfortable asking. As
soon as Caden arrived, she asked, “can I take my shirt off when I swim in your
pool?” I replied, “sure.” As adults, we should all feel this comfortable. Not
with taking our shirts off, but with feeling comfortable enough to ask
questions.
Arnold
arrived just before Grace and I were off to swim practice. After practice, we
went to the ball field to watch Austin and Cole’s game. David was there with
Isabell. She enjoys playing with her friend, Emma. Austin got a home run. He
was so excited! They won the game and will play again Thursday.
Today,
I will be in Grace’s bedroom completing a 1500 word essay about Learning Disabilities
that I have absolutely put off until the last minute. It’s due today. Well, at
3:00 AM pacific time. There may be time during the day to visit.
12
visitors today, 223 in all, and 9 dogs in all
