A very quiet morning was a great way to begin the day. A cup of black coffee and the newspaper in hand began my Sunday morning routine. This morning was different that many others because David and I were alone. The sounds of birds chirping and the newspaper crinkling were nice sounds compared to the typical sounds of running feet through the house, slamming of cabinet doors, and arguments over toys.
After a nice breakfast of bacon, eggs, grits, and toast; I decided to complete some homework then wash my car. I have to use my time wisely to get things done. Went out to wash my car and the spray nozzle was missing. I looked everywhere and it was no where to be found. David made a quick trip to Wal-Mart to get a new nozzle, then he was off to pick up Grace.
Little David arrived with Mandy around 11:00. He asked to wash his clothes and said, "I brought my own laundry detergent." I never really said it was okay, but I guess he knew I didn't mind. Arnold visited for a while as well.
Steve returned the sander and some unused boards that Chris needed for a project. He talked about Chris for a while. He said, "Chris never calls when he's out of town." Steve said this upset Wendy as she would like to hear from him while he is away. Chris did mange to find time to post some pictures of himself and friends on Facebook. He is growing up.
Jason brought Isabell home around 4:00. They had her birthday celebration today at Jason's parents house. She returned with paper, markers, and lots of play dough. She had a great time. Mandy prepared dinner while David, Grace, Isabell, and I swam in the pool. It was a great day to spend time with family.
